Book: Noktah Terjahit

I finally understand how I’m suddenly friends with people on Goodreads. (Translation: Finally took time to look into it). It’s because I linked my account to Facebook.

Book update:

So…day 3 of Ramadhan and I finally finished this book which I started in Feb :’)

Penyusunan kata yang indah mampu untuk mengetengahkan isu-isu yang seringkali dilepas pandang. Tak sedar betapa menusuknya nasihat penulis kerana telah disulami kata-kata yang lembut.

This book was a gift from Kak Nazihah to Kakak Majulah and myself earlier this year. I think books are thoughtful and beneficial gifts for the giver and the receiver because you leave the people you care about with reminders and these reminders will benefit them inshaAllah. At the same time, it becomes the giver’s amal jariah. Awesome.

The first encounter I had with this writer was back in 2008. I was in secondary 1 when my mother gifted me with a book about this writer. How, despite all the hardships she went through, she managed to score 20 As in her SPM. I’ve not met you, but your words speak to me then. Today, they comfort me. I personally like the last chapter where the writer wrote letters from a lady to a fellow lady. If anyone is interested, feel free to borrow from us! 🙂

Updates on project M (pinjam istilah ni please):

Semua dah settle baju except the bridesmaids (sisters and lady cousins) and the bride herself :’) InshaAllah kheyr.

Was reminded of this update because I went to Geylang earlier today to accompany my mother. 4-5pm is a good time to beat the bazaar crowd, if anyone’s interested! So we went to this nice store at Joo Chiat Complex called “Glamour @Muzika” where they sell nice baju melayu and dresses at reasonable prices. Check out their kurta for men selling at $10 each. Good for those who wants to wear sedondon for any occasion.

Teaching update:

Finally submitted the comments for my class’s progress report as well as some pictures to show their parents.

Studies update:

Lastly, marhaa marhaa to Farhana and Ezza for braving through finals! Yaaaay. Semoga semua pass and kte grad sesama aameen! ❤
