Just kelakar.

Good news! We finished all topics that were needed to be covered in class and prof decided to cancel make-up lesson on Saturday, 9th Feb! This means that I will get to spend time with my Tweens 2!

After a month of teaching, I prefer my 10 year olds. They are so fun to be with and are still impressionable = more amanah? huhu. So to self, in case I forget why I choose what I chose, do remember how their age is quite critical where transition happens.

Funny story which happened earlier today.

Some of the boys got unto my nerves and I scolded them. For once, I managed to hold my laughter and the whole classroom went silent. Slowly but sternly I said:

Those who wish to talk, please come in front and stand beside me.

This works wonders as they normally keep quite and not talk as they do not want to be called upon. My policy in class is simple. If you want to talk, play, use hp while I teach, sure. I will give you the platform. 🙂

The room stayed quiet until this innocent boy, D, raised his hand and volunteered to stand beside me, just because I asked who wants to. I can’t. I tried to hold back my smile as I was super touched that he volunteered to accompany me at the front.

Meanwhile, the intended audience which I was angry at, gave a gasp. They whispered to each other how the “open invitation” to stand beside me is actually a reprimand and tried to warn D.

D was oblivious, like always :’)

“Come here D. Sure you may stand beside me. Let’s read together.” I said while giving him the privilege to use my clicker (yes my 10 year olds think it’s fun to use that haha)

Seeing this scene unfolding in front, the intended audience that I was angry at then volunteered themselves to read and stand at the front too. :’) Macam mana orang tak geraaaaam sayang gitu.

But today was quite lemau as I my cramps intensified during the second class of the day and I literally just sat while teaching. By break time, I was squatting on the floor. How does the body work? Some months, the cramps are bearable. While at times, like today, I felt like lying down and do nothing. Nonetheless, alhamdulillah for periods.

One more thing that happened today :’) I accidentally stepped on cat poop in the morning. Yes there were poop on the 3rd and 4th level of the mosque. And I didn’t realise I stepped on it. I was soooo sad as I didn’t bring extra socks (I mean, who does???). So I had to walk around without socks 😦 Until!! my lovely vice principal lent me her extra socks in office. Ya Allah…so so thankful alhamdulillah.

Despite the events that happened today, I still love Ansar through and through. ❤

Lastly, mubaarak to one of my favourite asatizah couple: Ustaz Faritz and Ustazah Fairuz for their 7 day old son. Semoga menjadi hamba yang diredhai, anak soleh and aset terbaik umat Rasulullah s.a.w. Aameen. ❤

Ayat of The Day:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اصْبِرُوا وَصَابِرُوا وَرَابِطُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.
