Talaqqi bersanad is a one-on-one Quran recitation session with a teacher. The teacher is someone who has recited with another teacher. The chain continues to go up and ultimately reaches the original person of which the divine revelation is revealed to, Our beloved Prophet Muhammad may peace be upon him. Through this, the student will correct his/her reading of every word from the beginning till the end of the Al-Quran.
If anyone is interested in doing talaqqi bersanad, I would recommend Darul Huffaz as it’s the most convenient and cheapest in comparison to other providers. It is convenient as the date and timing of sessions are based on mutual agreement – between you and the teacher. Thus the pace of the session is based on our efforts. One can expect to complete 1 juz within 1 hour/1 session. However, venue might still be in the east..
Alhamdulillah for an ustazah that tries her best to find time for you. God knows how many times we had to reschedule. We usually meet at Darul Huffaz but due to my macam-faham-busy schedule, Ustazah welcomed me to her abode. Huhu, level ikramud dhuyuf Ustazah just mashaAllah. Felt bad for intruding into her family time with her cute intelligent mashaAllah kids. While we’re on this topic, do spare a prayer for her firstborn. He’ll be taking the madrasah entrance test this year inshaAllah. 🙂
Upon arrival, I was greeted by 2 preschoolers who were full of energy. “Baba ke tuuu” :’)
Warms my heart seeing the lifestyle of this mashaAllah family. ❤ Allahummaj ‘alanaa minhum.
The bigger and more meaningful highlight is about the date today. Today, my parents are 25! MashaAllah alhamdulillah! May Allah bless their marriage always. Semoga kekal hingga bertemu yang Esa….<3

Ideal state of the believers. Adakah kte benar-benar dengar dan memupuk pengajran dalam diri menurut firman Allah? Atau Quran hanya menghiasi bibir dan telinga… 😦

Jazakillah khair for sharing sis! I’ve contemplated joining darul quran but unsure if I can commit. Do you know how is it like or do you have friends in the program? Now after reading this post if yours I wonder if I should just stick to talaqqi je.

My friends and I are in that programme. Tuu lagi payah sikit because need to find time to hafal. And commit to it, for a lifetime :')
It's once a week. Can choose to enroll at MKS or other mosques (need to check their website for other venues/timings). Weekly commitment to memorise in front of the Ustazah..
I'm still on this journey. But most of my friends either dah half of the Quran or dah habis hafal mashaAllah. Consistency is key, kata mereka 🙂
