Ideal

Disclaimer: This post is full of rants and mini self-reflections. ALSO, I may need to postpone notes from week 2. Afwan.

Alhamdulillah for today. I started the day by being stubborn as I really wanted to wear my green tudung along with my pink uniform. But both Ummi and fashion guru did not approve. I asked Abah and he said “pakai je”. And that my friends, was how I continued the day, grasping onto the tiny bit of confidence he gave me. hahaha.

  • I realised it’s hard for me to scold my students. I would end up laughing hais. e.g: 2 of my sec 2s played with my umbrella and I told them that sure, they can hold and play with it in front of their classmates. Which they did. But it made them realise how childish the act was and tahu pun paiseh when I requested for them to pose for a photo. I couldn’t help but to laugh.
  • Current exco of the youth wing I used to volunteer at asked my opinion with regards to the deactivation of our all ladies instagram account. I don’t see why one would bother asking our feedback when they have decided without our consent. The youth wing is unique because of this separation. To combine and DEACTIVATE gives off a negative message. It diminishes the link and relevance of those who initially joined the youth due to its niche – segregated programmes. I am still sad about the whole thing and I would probably leave the group soon. The only thing I am able to do about this whole issue is to move on. Moving on with other ladies who share the same sentiments and thus, to revive the monthly usrah beyond the walls of our beloved mosque inshaAllah.
  • Super guilty for keeping 3 friends wait at the walimah today. Maisarah waited for nearly 2hrs and refused to eat until I came. 😦
  • My dear C (Cousin) had such a simple yet beautiful walimah. I really love the fact that it was segregated (don’t think I’m able to do that huhu). Had a little reminder poster at the start of the buffet table to take as much food as we want but ensure there is no wastage. Most importantly, bride was roaming around talking to everyone. Goals. Ideal. MashaAllah.
  • We left the walimah around 6pm and I had to asar somewhere. Hence decided to visit nenek at Marsiling. Lepas rinduuuu. She shared photos and held back tears as she recalled about the past and arwah yayi. May Allah have mercy on us.

Ayat of The Day:

وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَّكَ عَسَىٰ أَن يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَّحْمُودًا
and dur-ing the night wake up and pray, as an extra offering of your own, so that your Lord may raise you to a [highly] praised status.

Was reflecting on what tbh mentioned. About super mums. What I gathered from today’s convo with Maisarah would highlight the source of strength in such mothers. I believe tahajjud has a part in this. May Allah bless all super mums out there ❤ And give us the strength in pursuing their footsteps.
