MiM Iftar, Successful Mu’min and The Month of answered prayers.

Monday, 20th May 2019

I totally forgot that we have the annual Muslimah-in-Mind Iftar today. So all halaqahs would gather to break our fast together as part of our tarbiyah (development).

Really love the reminders from our leader today.

Tadabbur: We reflected on Surah Al-Mu’minun verses 1-11

This portion essentially talks about the characteristics of a successful Mu’min.

Then Umi R gave a tadzkirah which really touched me. It’s about realigning our intent in doing ibadah. It is humbling to know that we enter jannah not by our merits but by His Rahmah (grace). So at the end of the day, it is not how far we go but how genuine it has been…

She started the tadzkirah by remnding us that this blessed month is the best time for one to do lots of doa for it’ll be granted. Thus, in line with the theme doa, we reflected on the Doa of Nabi Ibrahim a.s which are also veryyyy humbling. A Rasul who’s promised paradise but still hopes and prays for ilm, soleh companion, good thoughts of him when he passes on and to enter heaven…His doas are always so thoughtful too. He has a doa for good offspring who will perform prayers. He also prays for his country to be peaceful…Nabi Ibrahim a.s is such an inspiration.

Here are my notes!

20 minutes before iftar, Kakak Majulah and I went to Sultan Mosque bazaar. She bought kebab because our Iftar food had sambal in it. hahaha. I bought Choco Chese Banana and this interesting doughnut burger. Bought only 1 burger priced at $3 as I was left with only $4 cash. But when we opened the box, the seller gave us two. MashaAllah may Allah bless youuuuu.

Received a dm from mashaAllah person about a focus group discussion this Friday. What a good way to share (vent) my thoughts on our asatizahs. Looking forward to reflect on the self as well :’)

Towards a better week inshaAllah.

Ayat of The Day (Nabi Ibrahim’s Doa):
