Family Iftar

Sunday, 19th May 2019

This year’s iftar was held at our place as nenek is here. It was a great opportunity and drive for everyone to start cleaning the house haha. All outz until my muscles went sore on Monday hence the self proclaimed lepak day.

There’s this unexplained, tired but fulfilling, feeling after your guests return and you smile to yourself because you feel that all the hassle and hustle was worth it. Semoga diterima.

Anyway, so much thoughts and feels for yesterday’s event. It was heartwarming to see everyone all grown up. 1st indicator: Not everyone can fit around the supposedly big mat. 2nd indicator: Needed more space during congregational prayers.

Glad we had the mini circle time after terawih. We updated each other of our current affairs. Well, it was mostly to welcome a new member (inshaAllah) of the family. She’s still learning about Islam. May Allah guide both my cousin and her, and all of us! Aameen.

Then the new member asked me: Where’s your partner?

Thing is, takkan nak cakap our family doesn’t encourage such interactions unless the whole fam is invited too kan….

So the only creative (tak langsung haha) thing I said was: I shy

Which invited nervous (@me) and genuine laughter around.

So yeahhh today was the day I shared with my cousins who, how, what, why, when of the amazing person mashaAllah. Surprisingly they said you looked familiar. Well, is Woodlands thaaat small?

Then we played uno, both offline and online, werewolves and heads up.

My eldest cousin gave us laptop stickers! Was pleasantly surprised by the thought and even more surprised at what I received. Haha. Menantu Idaman eh~

Majda got the go jer. Which suits her well.

Nusaibah the #sissteady because she’s always calm and composed even under instense pressure.

Halimah got the random #siscuba. Which was the hashtag of the day as we played the games.

I love how proactive they were at cleaning up, the solat jemaah, the beautiful recitation, the pot luck and just the presence and effort to come down. Blessed, alhamdulillah.

May Allah bless and guide us always. Gather us in jannah as You’ve gathered us in dunya Ya Rabb ❤

Ayat of The Day:

Ayat given by Sis Kienah. Interesting verse…for Allah won’t let our efforts be in vain ❤
