That krik krik moment when you’re looking through a personal chat and then suddenly the person messages you and terus seen. Haha :’) Awal benar NUS dah dapat robes eh? Bab ni SMU lambat sikit.
Major event today would be Iftar at SMU.
But prior to that, a fellow colleague/schoolmate linked me up with a freshie who needed guidance on which second major should he pursue in business. So I was distracted for awhile while replying TBH. Sorry! Managed to link him up with Dian because she’s in the same major as him, Psychology. Honestly, if you ask me what complements well with Sociology – it can go alongside all. It’s thaaat broad. But for psychology, it’d be HR and Marketing. Hope I helped the freshie…somehow. Haha. Then the other guy kept thanking me walhal dia yang selalu bukakan pintu for everyone. He even called me sister before he knew my name. (Terus terfikir if this guy is a Christian). Anyway! Hope in humanity restored when I know people like them still exists. Always, always ready to extend a helping hand. MashaAllah.
Iftar was awkward, at first. I was the only year 4 :’)))) But I slowly warmed up to others and like salam2 and did small chats around. Although I believe networking is not my thing, I find that it comes naturally when you personally genuinely want to talk to the person. So after Terawih, as we took pictures and salam2, a casual “how you’re doing” brings wonders. So when you talk to a person, others may join in and then you switch people as you find common topics to talk about etc. Hence I was super thankful to juniors, batch mates and senior for the positive vibes emitted. The sharing session by Anisah, Hazmie and Ahmad were nothing short of amazing and inspiring. At the end of the day, everyone has their own journey that Allah has written. Our job is to strive. I was honestly stressed out when people kept asking if I’ve found a job. But after today, I tell myself that for every question posed, is another person in my life who cares. It’s also an opportunity for me to seek their prayers ❤
So today, this quote touched my heart deeply than ever:
“My heart is at ease knowing that what was meant for me will never miss me, and that what misses me was never meant for me.”
So alhamdulillah ala kulli haal.
Let’s end with some pictures from my final iftar as a student here:

Featuring the fat fingers. Serious just nice alhamdulillah. Well…before briyani happened! Now ada bekas. haha!
