Of patience, superheroes and muhaasabah.

Alhamdulillah, Abah just came back home from a 2 days 1 night business trip to seberang tambak. (Semoga berhasil. Aameen~) Worried sick as his gout flared up again. And dear Grab didn’t help at allll. My mum booked a ride using her account and clearly said to the driver to meet my dad at exit 9. The driver then texted my mum saying he’s waiting at exit 12 instead. So dad had to walk very slowly and painfully only to have that driver drive off, claiming that he waited too long. Allahuu~ Allah je tahu kte dah pesan dia untuk jumpa at exit 9. Win-win for both kan so tak perlu tunggu. Reminder to self to be considerate at all times as we never know what people are going through. May Allah bless Abah with more patience… 😦

Anyway, the gout flare up might be due to his food intake and/or the level of stress he is enduring with all that is going on (a.k.a hal ehwal new environment and other things that I might not know..). Huhu.

When I feel so meh, I think of my superheroes. And other superheroes.

And I did felt meh a few days back and decided to watch Umar Series episodes 25-29 (had to watch anyway as it is part of the teaching resource for my last lesson of term 2). Reminded me of why I aspire to be like Saiyidina Umar r.a. Strict but kind. Just. Champion of women’s rights. A servant leader. And always, always in a state of muhaasabah. He would ask himself how would he answer Allah for every action he does. (Nak namakan anak Umar pleaseee. But more importantly, diri perlu jadi seorang Umar first.)

Stay strong, strive on ❤
