“What are they queuing for?”
A curious passerby asked as he walked by the queue. Exactly the question I asked myself too. There were so many shops selling Thai Milk Tea (personally, they all taste the same to me!) but I still went on to join the queue. Granted, Broti has flavours that are unique like Earl Grey Milk Tea and the newest Taro Milk Tea. Joining the hype was another reason altogether. (Jangan judge pls) So while Ummi happily came back with her $1.60 Green Milk Tea, I was still in line waiting for my $4 drink. 10 minutes later, I received the overhyped drinks.
I was at the verge of food coma after iftar when Ummi suggested we go to Geylang to search for dusty pink raya clothes or if possible, bridesmaids dresses as well. Decided to go along because you know, red flag anyway. So yeah, we braved through the crowd and I asked her why did we bother going through the curtains section? She simply said “So that I can look back and say that I did it!” Lollll isit like some bucket list? Hahais.
I heard how the layout of the stalls in this year’s bazaar was revamped to not only look neater but adopt very strategic changes as well. It’s still super humid and I melted in the sea of people but I can’t help but to applaud this year’s organiser for being so…organised!! There’s this food truck concept which looks so hipster where all the food stalls are congregated and many, many seating areas for people to enjoy their food.
They even have seating areas on top of the stalls with a maximum capacity of 25 pax. As pictured from Xavier Lur’s Twitter:

Ummi and I walked around to soak in the hype and only tried this stall called “Malay Takoyaki” which really just tasted like any other takoyaki, except well, it was prepared by a Malay :’).
The stalls around Tanjong Katong have either a 1 month MUIS halal certification or a disclaimer which states that the stall is mulim-owned. Tenang hati sis nak makan. Alhamdulillah for all these improvements.
It got more crowded after terawih ended and look who joined us!

Plot twist, yours truly had to answer the call of nature and alhamdulillah for Wisma Geylang Serai. Super super love the place! Its concept mirrors Tamp Hub but plus point, it has a musolla and bidets (spray for the elderly cubicle) in the toilets! Awesome lah mashaAllah. So yes, if you ever go to the bazaar, WGS is definitely a place you can rest at, under its gigantic fan. Nikmat duniaaaa.
Ok dah. Jom rest. Esok ada class :’)
I know I promised myself to not take Saturday classes because I want to “rest” but the teacher I relieved in term 1 is being tested with an injured husband. Allahu~ May Allah give them strength and grant syifaa to him. Aameen. 2 more classes before June holidays with the P4s won’t hurt inshaAllah. May Allah ease.
ps: Alhamdulillah for the happy news. Road to graduation is finally here ā¤
Ayat of The Day:

Chanced upon this verse as I was reading the book Athirah gave me. Allah mentions the reward for doing good deeds, like for solat jemaah it is 27x the reward etc. But for being patient, Allah does not limit it. MashaAllah??? š„
