The waiting game & Ramadhan Mubaarak! <3

It’s that time of the year (other than raya) when your WhatsApp and Telegram groups get flooded with well-wishes for the month that has arrived. I’m guilty of sending some too hehe. It’s also that period of time when one has pending confirmations of iftar dates. I’m soooo torn between joining friends and staying at home. In need of some serious scheduling.

Anyway, today is the first day of Ramadhan! Yay! Alhamdulillah. Well technically it’s already the 2nd at the time of writing this.

First day of Ramadhan was filled with disbelief as I got my period after Subuh. I didn’t want to accept the fact so much that I continued “fasting”. A biiit sad that tilawah has to be placed on hold but this means that one can concentrate fully on the understanding and revision parts!

Another highlight would be how the thoughtful Kak Haz sent me a beautiful reminder in the morning of Ramadhan day 1 (she was actually asking me if I wanted to speak during SMUgerek’s iftar…to which I suggested another senior instead). I find it really sweet that she thought of me while reading AA’s letter. May Allah bless youuu.

Okay so the article she sent described the concept of waiting.

Whether one currently waits for a job, an answer, someone or something, the wait is part of the learning process which Allah wants us to grow, develop and be someone better at the end of the waiting period. Our lives shouldn’t be put on a pause. It should never be filled with inactivity or overthinking of the possible outcomes.

Instead, we must have sabr as The All-Knowing and the Ultimate Provider will always have great plans for us.

On top of that, one should be on the move.

Hence, I plan to use the time to memorise His words, learn and reflect and to finish reading ALL my books that were given as gifts from myself and from others. InshaAllah!

Here’s how the writer concluded the article, which to me is so beautifully written:

Barakallahufeekum Kak Haz and Aida Azlin.

To waiting more gracefully ❤
