Hari ini just kelakar.
Well, when you look back at it lah. Bila tengah experience tak kelakar langsung! haha
So I was late for my Women’s Run today. 5km’s start off time was at 7.30am and yours truly arrived at the bus stop, which is located 5 minutes away from the location, at exactly 7.30am. Here comes the part where I need to navigate my way there. Thankful for Google maps.
To cut the story short, I couldn’t start immediately as the starting line was closed to allow 2km participants’ flag off at 7.45am. I didn’t manage to even place my bag because the bag drop off was a bit further down. To make the story more interesting, was the condition of my bag. Out of all days, I chose to use a bag that was stashed, long forgotten in the cupboard. I was in a rush so I grabbed this bag without checking for any defects. So when I finally looked at it while waiting for flag off, I was praying hard that this bag, along with myself, will survive. Here’s why:

So yeap, I ran with my bag :’)
Well I ran for 1 km until I felt breathless and jog all the way. It was a different experience as compared to last year’s run because
1. I was late.
2. I was the last 5km participant as the others had a 15 minutes head start. So I jogged aloneee.
3. Lesser participants meant lesser hype.
I nearly followed the 2km participants head back towards the finishing line but I thought of all the training and $$ spent for this so I persevered. Then I saw Fathona, Kak Muz and other 5km participants heading back as our routes intertwined. Sungguh, hati nak cut short je. But I reminded myself, where’s the fun, experience and effort, right?
So I kept jogging and maintaining a pace equivalent to some random jogger’s walking pace HAHA but that allowed me to overtake other 5km participants which further fueled my spirit. Eventually, I finished the run and ahead of some who started earlier. Alhamdulillah sangaaaat.
Sidenote: I was surprised to see other non-participants jogging along Clark Quay on a Sunday morning. Clark Quay is quite a nice place for a jog on a Sunday morning because it is a ghost town.
So glad I didn’t give up halfway and so thankful for Kak Muz for igniting that spirit prior the day and of course, Ummi who was my relief teacher for TPA. heheh.
Alhamdulillah. Till the next one! InshaAllah.
Now to istiqomah on the training for 29th September’s WOW Run (7km) and 3rd November’s GE Women’s Run (10km).
Ayat of The Day:

Yang Maha Menciptakan kami dengan sebaik-baik rupa. Nikmat pergerakan ini, takkan kami sia-siakan inshaAllah ❤
