Parent Support Group

I went to Halimah’s school today to essentially 1. be a kepo and 2. accompany Ummi. Ok for real, I just want a reason to get ready early and get out of the house since I no longer teach on Saturday mornings.

It was fun helping the Parents Support Group (PSG). I got to meet other parents. I observed a familiar scene back in Irsyad played out in front of me. Glad that my sister is able to feel the love, care and concern of other parents. Love seeing how comfortable the students are with each others’ parents. For truly it takes a village to raise that child.

PSG. I love how they turn their concerns as parents into actionable items. To step up and do something about it. For example, the issue of the school’s canteen not providing sufficient food during weekend programmes. So they come together and sell food where profits go back to the club thus sustaining it and making it possible to organise more activities. I also appreciate how they try to be the bridge between students, parents and teachers.

Missed bowling with my halaqah due to stomach ache. boo. But ended the day well with my pillars of strength who wanted to accompany me collect my race pack at Kallang Wave. We literally went out to collect it and went back home. Oooh there was a mini pit stop at Coffee Bean too oops. Honestly, I almost forgot that I have a race this 7th April and I’ve not been in shape! 1 more week left~

Was also v.v.v.v delighted to bump into Fathona just now who was also collecting her race pack! Awesome~

@Kak Muslimah, we ready right? hahaha
