One moment of silence.

Beautiful, beautiful day.

I was about to get ready for the day until I saw someone’s tudung on the ironing board. So I asked whose tudung was it and turned out to be si bongsu’s. So I asked her to put it elsewhere because I needed to iron my tudung.

“You can use that! I tak jadi keluar.”

Was so thankful because that saved me a lot of time. And allowed me to reach my duty just on time at Bukit Merah that day. (Today was that kind of day when you’re extra thankful for sisters haha)

My mind was thinking about the Christchurch incident while I was on the way to Bukit Merah. It was sad but the initiatives by the Kiwi people and the love showered made the entire episode so much bearable. To the martyrs, it was truly heartwarming when so many attended your solatul janazah in NZ. On top of that, brothers and sisters around the world did solat jenazah ghaib for them. And the most touching part was how you left us all a legacy, #hellobrother , an amal jariah inshaAllah, for others to emulate…Allahumma ghfirlahum warhamhum wa aafiihim wa’fu ‘anhum…

Apart from the weekly phone calls in school, we had to attend appointments across the Singapore once every 2 months and do the survey, face to face, with the respondents.

As I entered, the pakcik was already waiting to complete his survey. From his sharing, he seemed really at the verge of things. When I gave him his NTUC vouchers, he said something which pulled my heartstrings. He said that he can finally afford to drink milo.

Allahu~ tak terkata dibuatnya.

How many of us can drink milo without any second thoughts about our budget?

There are more things which he and the other respondents shared which makes me want to be there for them. I know I’ve ruled out social worker as a potential career due to its emotional burden. But not doing anything makes me feel worse! I shall seriously think about this again…

Met Mega at Rabitah Mosque when I did Asar there. My lovely girl here lives all the way in the south and is such an active volunteer at MKS. My heart swells with so much love and respect for these people, our unsung heroes – the quiet volunteers and helpers of Islam ❤

Quickly went to my fave pink MRT station, Redhill, to travel back. Sungguh awesome ride from southwest to east when you get a seat. :’) Alhamdulillah. Finally went to Tamp hub after 3 weeks! The opening of the new mosque was definitely a major reason and attraction for one to travel there.

According to Abah, Ghufran is now one of the biggest mosques in terms of its capacity to house about 5000 jemaah at any one time. In contrast, MKS can only accommodate about 3000 jemaah BUT it does have one of the largest compounds in terms of land area (correct me if I’m wrong).

Anyway, it’s beautiful. The interior and exterior is so much better as compared to the previous design. However, it is quite open in a sense that muslimah has to cover their aurat upon exiting the toilet. I didn’t manage to roam around but according to my brother, the youth hub is quite spacious. I hope with all these upgrades, may the muslim community be more resilient and better holistically. InshaAllah! 🙂

After soaking up the beauty of Ghufran mosque, we went for a quick jog. (Very, very quick as I was hungry…)

The bro belanja ice-cream and nasi sambal goreng……..Allah je dapat balas adik2 ni mashaAllah. Please stay awesome s-e-l-a-l-u HAHA.

Ayat of The Day:

Reminds me of the man behind #hellobrother. He came to NZ, strived hard and built the mosque. Strive for His mercy, and He will shower His mercy ❤
