First Fatayat Usrah of the Year

Quite sad that only 6 people came to Fatayat’s usrah today. Sad because I miss the rest of them, immensely. But thankful for the opportunity to attend, the health and time that made it possible to even travel today. Alhamdulillah.

Part 1, Quran:

We read and reflected on Surah Tur. A surah that heavily emphasizes on the last day, aqidah and the hereafter.

Especially liked verse 21 which painted a beautiful picture for one to aspire for. When family members reunite in jannah. Such goals…. 😥

In order to do that, Allah mentioned several ways like the one mentioned in verse 26. We need to aspire to be people that still remember Allah in times of happiness. In this context when we gather for family gatherings. If we want to gather as a family in jannah, then we should act the way He wants us to be when we are with our families here in dunya.

To this point, all of us reflected on the raya/doa selamat gatherings and the numerous “Cucu Tok…” WhatsApp groups that we have. A sister shared how a family member would ridicule her whenever she shares a reminder about the deen. And most of us agreed that it is harder to advise family members as compared to our circle of friends. One reason is because we can choose the type of friends. These friends are those who CHOOSE to attend talks and classes together. However, we cannot choose the family we were born into. But strive. Strive. Strive… ❤

Part 2, Hadith:

We reflected on the hadith innama al-‘amalu binniah. Indeed all actions are based on the intentions.

Context: marriage (Just because 3 dah kahwin, 1 dalam process, 3 masih mencari and question the need for marriage)

If our niat is short term, the impact will also be short term. For example, one gets married just because they want a child. After having that child, they got divorced (true story).

Or if a person gets married just to fulfill his/her desires, they will then question “What’s next?” after having that desire fulfilled.

So here comes the important question of, “why do I want to get married to you?”

Good reflection session.

To cut the long sharing short, intention is super important. It drives you. It fuels you. It is how you’re rewarded for at the end of the day.

Ohh another sentap one from Ustazah:

Jangan lupa communicate dengan manusia. Sedangkan Allah turunkan Al-Quran untuk communicate dengan kita. Berkali-kali Allah remind perkara yang sama. Begitu juga kita dengan manusia. Dengan pasangan contohnya. Cara fikiran lelaki sangat lain. Tak boleh malas nak sentiasa communicate. (Terus yang dah kahwin angguk2 sementara yang lain step faham haha.)

Ayat of The Day:

Semoga sentiasa ingat Allah dalam keadaan gembira dan sedih.
