Abstract Deep Art

I’ve been visiting the halal bakery, nearly every time I’m in school, ever since I got to know of its certification. #support. To the point that I had its chocolate waffles as lunch today :’) 1 was sufficient to last me till dinner! But okay, have to admit that I would need to eat proper food. halal AND toyyib.

Best part about today is that we had learning journey to National Gallery. Ok 1 hour serious tak cukup. Need to find time to go there againnnn. Interesting sangat sangat. How on the surface, art is so abstract but then when we delve deeper, fuh boleh ditafsirkan macam-macam.

But yeah, we now need to choose one artwork and do an essay on it by applying the theories learnt in class. ;”)

I didn’t go to Qudwah today as I have some catching up to do for tomorrow’s midterms.

With that, I end.

Ayat of The Day:

Greatest gift in jannah is to be able to see Allah.

Don’t know why but just teringat one of the points the tour guide mentioned just now.

Historically, kings did not have their portraits painted. People couldn’t even look at him. So the only time they had the portraits of kings painted was when they’ve passed on. If not, the paintings were those of the artists’ imagination. (Not sure of the time period or the country but most probably Southeast Asian since the exhibition focuses on SEA)

I was shocked because I thought they would naturally like to be marveled at. Or to be painted and to pose. But by shying away from being painted and to instruct people not to look at them directly reminded me of how we cannot look at Allah now. It makes Allah more majestic and how we yearn for the day to able to look at Allah ❤
