Little gasps of fresh air

I feel sad that I would have to give MS’s first event of the year a miss. Quite an interesting topic. Something real and impending. Good news is, President said that they’ll capture a live video and write a blog post on the learning points! Looking forward to this new initiative mashaAllah.

Went to school for another group meeting. Ahhh stress sendiri as there’ll be 2 presentations, back to back in week 6. 2.more.weeks. And both will happen on the same day 😦 Allahu musta’an.

Had an impromptu lunch with muffins minus birthday girl huhu. Makin lama makin busy satu-satu. Our conversations revolved around life updates. Ada busy nak grad, ada yang join new AI club in school, ada pegang jawatan president, ada join Tertiary.cc. MashaAllah semuanya. May Allah bless your time and give each of you the much needed strength to push on.

Athirah is right. Updates don’t need to always revolve around one thing. But tuuu je soalan yang ditanya. How now?

We also talked about how all these involvements are but an avenue to contribute back to society. Being young and carefree (not much responsibilities), we are ambitious to go all out and to assume roles in the name of betterment.

But when pressure starts to seep in…We question our capabilities. We worry if we can make it out alive. We contemplate if we’ll ever have the same spark at the end as we did at the start.

Be you. Be the best version and that is the best possible way to contribute back to Islam. It was comforting to know that each of us have those days when we feel inadequate. Like we’re doing nothing for our deen. But the struggle to be a better version of ourselves is the most important step and contribution, ever. Also, not everyone is needed to be out there. We are change-makers in our own ways ❤ InshaAllah ok?

Ended the day with work. Since the January survey just ended, we were tasked to vet through the survey questions for February. I officially announce how mehhh it is to work without human interaction. How do people stay awake? Can’t believe I will say this but I really can’t wait to start calling people.

Ayat of The Day:

إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُوا عَنكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ۚ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
Indeed, they will never avail you against Allah at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allah is the protector of the righteous.

45:19

Apt reminder. One of us was saying that they went through some form of entitlement experience at work before. The supervisors closed an eye on a certain group and treated another group unfairly. Geram is geram. But super proud of them to have stood their ground and rose up to the challenge. So brave mashaAllah. When you know that Allah is your protector, you won’t feel as scared to oppose the injustice that is so apparent – happening right in front of your eyes. While the majority shrink away under pressure. May Allah guide us and give us the strength.
