Self treat @ salon (sempat eh)

I went to school just to buy some things from POPULAR and print readings (yes I’m back at it. huhu. Maaf Bumi. I still do some readings on the laptop but I really need something to write on in class and typing on the laptop does not cut it.) But mini improvement for self! Reached school at about 3pm which is better than not going at all haha. May next Monday be better.

Then I went to Bee Choo Origin Ladies Salon at about 5pm. A quaint shop that is located along the same street as Alqudwah Academy. I can’t believe I didn’t notice this gem for the past 2 years of passing by it as one goes for classes (!!). Until one day I decided to google for “muslimah friendly salons”. Wanted to try something cheaper and different from the 2 leading muslimah-owned salons – KARVA and Pearlista. As I made up my mind about this appointment after checking out their website and facebook (haha case tawakkal), a friend suddenly recommended this place. &&&& what were the odds of meeting her at the salon?? Haha

My review:

Efficient communication and friendly staff are key to my definition of good customer experience for any kind of business. So happy to have found this!

Ended the day with the last session for School of Quran. They’ll be starting the next intake next week but I don’t think I’m up for it.

Ayat of The Day

يَا نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِّنَ النِّسَاءِ ۚ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا
Wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other woman. If you are truly mindful of God, do not speak too softly in case the sick at heart should lust after you, but speak in an appropriate manner;

33:32

This verse reminds me of the time I let out my frustration, by asking my parents why were they so strict on me. And what their reply made me reflect. “You’re different.” I was so selfish to think about myself when my entire being is about upholding the name of this deen.

Ya Allah. Please don’t leave me even for a second….
