NadiahxSyafiq

“So what’s your hashtag eh?”

“Takde. NadiahxSyafiq je lah”

Haha I love her. My simple yet hustler halaqah sister. Immensely happy and touched by the akad that happened in the morning. To which I got a reminder from Abah to NOT shed any tear on my day, one fine day. No promises!

Arina, another halaqah mate made an interesting observation.
Does marriage make your connections wider or narrower?
Depends really. I find it awesome to know that Naqiah is actually Cik Mas’s daughter? Been wondering who her children are until I had the opportunity to meet them today. Small, small world. In one aspect, marriage is a bridge. Especially if the one you marry has the same circle of friends. And then there’s the part where marriage widens your horizons by introducing you to more family members and friends! yay!

SO.
Started the day with Kak Az driving the easties to Masjid Al-Khair. I really look up to her and the other sisters with transport. If one day, with enough courage, I have a licence and a car of my own, I intend to carpool people too inshaAllah ❤ They are so awesome and may Allah bless them.

We arrived on time and several of us went to the second level to get a bird’s eye view. The akad took like 5 minutes? Alhamdulillah for a smooth event! But the picture-taking was hectic because mashaAllah, there were quite a number of people who attended their nikah! Afterwards, they provided a shuttle bus to their walimah (ok idea ni hebat @tbh. Da macam school trip rasanya.)

After spending like 1 hour+ at the walimah, we made our move. Took a bus to Bukit Panjang MRT (downtown line), alighted in between and took a bus. Changed to another bus before we arrived home safely alhamdulillah. Next was qailulah (aka lepak) haha!

Feeling fresh after the nap, I decided to follow the rest to Madrasah Aljunied where Majda was handling a booth at the inaugural Khat Singapore Exhibition. Ummi wanted to take bus 7 and hop on to another bus. While siblings and I waited for the straight bus to Aljunied. So we raced and our parents won. Haha.

Anyway, so glad I followed as I met Ustaz Alaina, Ustazah Muayanah, other fellow asatizah and juniors! Their food is AWESOME. The calligraphy artworks were as always, therapeutic to look at ❤ Last day tomorrow if anyone is interested to view them!

I take back when I said Arabiah mirrors Irsyad. I think Aljunied mirrors it more ❤ Really love the entrepreneurship spirit (I think Irsyad had a similar experience in 2007? Where each class had to sell something), the dynamics between teachers, canteen vendors and students. Apepun, alhamdulillah for younger siblings, for they are the bridge that has allowed one the exposure to other madrasahs. Ended the day with one last bus, to head home.

I think today’s energy was mainly used to travel and socialise with others at nikah, walimah and exhibition. One more walimah (Bro Syafiq’s side) tomorrow (alhamdulillah dekaaat) and last Iqra class at MKS. Lesgooo.
