Week 12 things

We’re nearing the finishing line! MashaAllah, time flies and I can’t believe it’s been manageable. 1 presentation, 1 report and 4 finals to go!

Indeed, with hardship comes ease ❤

Since I am still working on the students’ report books, I can’t focus on updating about the highlights of my week 11 and the recent Family Rehlah. It’s nearly done I promise! haha (Nusaibah pls don’t nag at me ><)

So instead, let’s do a random fun fact about myself!

Hmmm…Ok so on top off my head is about how my mother used to call me the karung guni of the house. haha.

I invest feelings and memories into the littlest of things. In a positive light, one is seen as a reliable guardian of things. My mother would give us the same Polly Pocket toy and I would successfully keep every item after years of owning it. On the other hand, I can’t bear to part with my things! I became a hardcore hoarder. So karung guni was really an apt summary of yours truly haha.

Over the years, I learnt to let go.

I deleted emails, recycled letters and diaries, gave away unused items. I even have the least number of clothing. I read somewhere that if an item is unused for several months, you probably won’t need it, ever = the art of decluttering really helped me to just get over things.

Letting go allowed me to gain a sense of freedom. Being away from past memories, I forged new beginnings and most importantly, learnt to adapt and live IN THE MOMENT.

Thus today, I finally wore my favourite pink item after months of keeping it safe. MashaAllah. It’s time it meets daylight. I mean, I did not forget about it as I would look at it every day :’) But too sayang to wear it. Fellow karung gunis, you feel me????

I hope, I don’t truly shift away from being a karung guni. I hope, I can still keep things properly and be a responsible guardian to the amanah(s) bestowed upon me (both tangible and intangible items). InshaAllah.
