Inactivity bores me.
I still catch myself dozing off in bus when I know I have 2 more stops left! On good days, I would wake up the minute the bus arrives at my intended stop. On the best of days, I would wake up just as the bus leaves my stop. Today, sayyidul ayyaam, is an example of the best of days. HAHA
So I alighted at YMCA bus stop. One stop after SMU. Alhamdulillah for the light drizzle because it got heavier as I am typing this.

Walking past the YMCA building allowed memories to come visit. I cannot believe that I have entered those doors before. Back in my first summer after year 1 ended, I had the chance to be part of the organising team for my faculty’s freshmen orientation camp. To cut the story short, we only had the gym and admin building shower facilities to wash up. My friend then had her brilliant idea to use YMCA’s facilities instead. Naturally, I felt out of place. I didn’t know YMCA stands for Young Men’s Christian Association and thought it was just another community organisation.
I followed her anyway because she needed a friend and I, needed a bath. We were such sneaky students haha. But the people there were nice!
As I reflect, I can’t help to feel inspired and aspire for our community to be that open. To have the capability to house so many initiatives while not forgoing our roots. In other words, sustainable and strong.
And now, one shall wait for her makan buddy for another round of Subway. Starting to enjoy how convenient Subway is! It’s located at the School of Information Systems building, just across my school! Alhamdulillah.

Have a blessed Friday everyone! 🙂
