I love this feature on WordPress.com where we can write whenever we are free and then schedule our posts for publishing on a certain date and time! (In fact, other online handles have an app to schedule its postings too. But I haven’t really looked into that. It’ll be handy cos having managed several organisation’s instagram before, plus being human, we tend to overlook certain things like maybe…posting on time???? haha)

Here’s a post to commemorate the arrival of our beloved month. Things will definitely be different at home, work and personal outlook as we welcome Ramadhan 1439 H.
Some things that has helped me be more aware and excited for this month really has been externally motivated.
- Do a mini revision on Ramadhan, you’d be surprised at the things you didn’t know before or forgotten.Like how Ramadhan is so special for Muslims, its benefits, the significance of Quran during that month, a night better than a 1000 months, the amount of mercy from Allah, and the promise of forgiveness and pardon of our sins.I had to present on this to my students and we wrapped up with a game of kahoot which never fails to excite them. ❤ If it weren’t for my lil ones, I don’t think I would be as hyped and mentally ready for it. May Allah bless them.
The second factor was due to the sharing Fatayat had 2 weeks ago and the recent Tarheeb Ramadhan conducted by senior sisters. Both talked about being prepared for it, both highlighted the importance of Quran within it and ultimately to build the vertical relationship, a relationship with our Creator.
- Set our intentions and clear but achievable goals.
Nothing much to say here but really hope we’ll be able to achieve them inshaAllah. - Have a support system.
This year, I am blessed to have several groups like Nusaibaes (not the real group name ya) where we assign a certain number of pages from the Quran per day for the past month to get our gears warm and ready. (It worked for me cos I felt the sense of urgency and commitment as compared to doing it alone. Totally agree with Tengku Syamil’s recent post about doing things together, although in a slightly different context here.)To my fellow family and friends, Ramadhan Kareem ❤
My childhood song.
May Allah accept. Rabbana taqabbal minna.
