That worry of yours, as you witness yet another one of your friends tie the knot, is perfectly human.
You experience another year, adding another digit, reaching mid twenties and just casually suffocating in a sea of perceived loneliness.
So when you asked our group of girlfriends one day,
“Any of you getting married?”
It was to validate your concerns. Which I have to admit, occasionally mirrors mine. You had to know that there were others who were on the same boat. That it was totally fine to be in your current state, at your own pace.
One of us answered:
“But, to each his own time. And sometimes… Something else might come first like… Death…
In reality, we can observe numerous MashaAllah women out there, that are nearing 40s who have yet to get married…”
That’s the thrill about life isn’t it? We can only plan, pray and do.
Kullu maktuub. Everything is written.
So dear, even if you missed your bus, or rode on a wrong one, just keep moving till you reach your destination. (part bus ni saya nak cerita lebih panjang. Lain kali k?)
After all…surprises keep us on our toes.
May Allah guide us to only what is best for our dunya and akhirah. Aameen
