One of my many but not high in priority of “things to achieve” is to visit all 6 Madrasahs in Singapore.
Alhamdulillah, I was blessed with the opportunity to graduate from 2 of them and had participated in numerous events located in the other 4 institutions, be it for academic or competitive purposes. I remember, in my first year of uni, I had the chance to visit all 6 in one day to send out invites for our first MS event. I had to plan my route. It was made easy as I realised how each pair were located very near to one another. That is:
1) Aljunied and Alsagoff within the Sultan Mosque area
2) Al-Ma’arif and Waktanjong within Paya Lebar area
3) Al-Irsyad and Al-Arabiah within the Braddell area
(Alhamdulillah, my father drove me to Arabiah and I killed 2 birds by extending Irsyad’s invitation in Aljunied as they currently share the same building.)

It was an unforgettable experience, tiring but nonetheless one I hold dear. Something I cherish and call upon when times get tough in MS.
Coming back, to my humble beginnings, to such a beautiful community, to where society’s hopes are planted, is an instant reminder for me to push forward and climb on.
