Just a question and the gesture to share their prize from camp is simply heart-warming. I mean, I reflect back on myself and thought, I NEVER asked any camp organisers if they would like to have some of our team’s prizes. Normally, the prizes are divided between OURSELVES. Haha.
A random question of my availability during the week of my school’s University Trip brought me into a circle of enthusiastic volunteers to help out our Alma mater in organising a girls camp. Or more specifically, a Muslimah Day Camp.
From experience in organising 2011’s Muslimah Camp with my Ohana sisters, I intended to volunteer for the facilitator role. Just because I want to experience interacting with the participants MORE. Being in the organising team, it’s hard to find time to have small conversations with them.
To sum it up, this year’s camp would stay as ideas if not for the 31 dedicated volunteers from Irsyad’s Alumnae. May Allah bless you. Everyone of you and I hope to work alongside you girls again inshaAllah.
