Wa jaadilhum billati hiya ahsan!

The experience gained was undoubtedly invaluable.
For that, I am thankful! Alhamdulillah.
Thank you to Teacher Y for the opportunity to even join this.
Thank you Kak Rafidah and Kak Rasyidah for coaching us, teacher Atikah too.
Thank you Team Maarif for staying strong together.
Thank you Family for supporting me till the end!

Debate is not my forte.
Public speaking was the least favourite thing to do.
When I look back, I see the many obstacles I faced, challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone.
That’s how we grow isn’t it?
The art of life.
I also realise that these are actually tools that come in handy to shape oneself in executing the number one goal in life. To be a khalifah.

No, I’m not saying you have to be a debater to be able to become a Khalilfah on Earth. Just that, the qualities in a debater – to think critically, to stand up and articulate firmly in what you strongly believe in –  are gems and are undoubtedly invaluable attributes for a Muslim.

Alhamdulillah for the experience in Singapore Muslim Youth Debate Competition 2013 and Inter-House  Debate Competition 2013. Although we managed to win one round and placed 2nd respectively. Alhamdulillah!

To many more exciting experiences on this temporary world inshaaAllah…
